Some oil paintings
Here are various digital paintings I have done over the years. Some have been personal though most have been for a variety of clients. Many of the paintings are based on sketchbook drawings. It is strange sometimes to go through old boxes of sketches and not remember drawing some of them.
Most have been done with Corel Painter and some Adobe Photoshop. While my main tool is Painter, I will use whatever is needed to accomplish the task at hand.
Some of the paintings have been cropped a bit so they load with a consistent width.
For those unfamiliar with the tasty campfire treat, smores are a square of chocolate smashed between two graham crackers and a roasted marshmallow. As I was painting this image for Corel, the idea of an unlucky knight caught by the mama dragon, taken back to the lair, and heated by the little ones so the inside of the suit of armor was gooey and warm while the outside was a bit toasted and crunchy. I know, kind of a gruesome idea but that is what I like; creepy and cute! This is a crop of the entire image and it was done in Corel Painter.
While demonstrating digital painting at Comic Con in Salt Lake City, there was someone in a Stay Puff marshmallow costume in the booth next to the one I was in. I needed new demo material about every 30 minutes. Couldn't resist the marshmallow man.
More digital art. The computer is so fast that things that would take a forever or even be impossible traditionally become possible if not easy on the computer.
This page has art that is more child oriented. It is from a variety of sources. Most was done for software, video games, or print.
This gallery is some of the strange, weird, and unusual human or human like portrait sketches and doodles I have done. Some are realistic but most are decidedly strange.
Some galleries will be more random than others. Some will have a theme.
